If you are unfamiliar with my situation, I was adopted from the Animal Foundation in Las Vegas, where I was abandoned because I was aggressive and destructive. My previous owners didn’t know what to do, so they locked me in a crate for 22 hours a day. When my current mom and dad rescued me from the shelter, my toenails were so long that they had grown in a circle and my paw pads had never been on the ground outside. No wonder I was destructive, I had all the energy of a puppy and nowhere to let it out. When my parents adopted me, they knew that exercising me was the best way to help me be a good dog. As a result, they bought me a treadmill and I went to work!
RUN DAWG Mobile Dog Gym is my dad and mom’s business, where they go to customer locations and help their dogs by exercising them on treadmills inside of a climate controlled mobile unit. The treadmills are not motorized, and work by having the dogs run to try and catch a toy, or just to respond to the cheering and clapping. It is a safe and fun way for dogs like me to run full speed without the problems of dog parks and finding an open field where we won’t get hurt.
